Whether you fly, build, restore or simply enjoy airplanes and aviation, you are welcome to attend our events or join our chapter. We are a group of aviation enthusiasts, aircraft builders, and pilots who get together with like minded people to share ideas, exchange information, encourage safety, serve the local aviation community and have a lot of fun doing so. Please come to our next meeting or event as our guest.
EAA 145 meeting in May 2024: Air Zoo restorations
When: Saturday, April 11 at 9:30 a.m. at the Air Zoo Aerospace & Science Experience
The May 11 meeting is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. at the Air Zoo Aerospace & Science Experience near Kalamazoo. We will meet first at the museum front door, then proceed to their Restoration Center to see the work they are doing on rebuilding World War II aircraft: a Grumman F4R Wildcat and a Douglas Dauntless.
The Restoration Center accept volunteers to help work on restoring the aircraft. Volunteers do have to receive clearance before they can work, so at this meeting, we’ll learn how to get accepted as a restoration volunteer.
