EAA Chapter 145

Grand Rapids, MI

Welcome to Grand Rapids EAA Chapter 145

EAA

Whether you fly, build, restore or simply enjoy airplanes and aviation, you are welcome to attend our events or join our chapter. We are a group of aviation enthusiasts, aircraft builders, and pilots who get together with like minded people to share ideas, exchange information, encourage safety, serve the local aviation community and have a lot of fun doing so. Please come to our next meeting or event as our guest.

EAA 145 meeting in April 2024: 70 Years of Flying Fun

When: Saturday, April 13 at 10:00 a.m.

Bob Aardema will be talking about his 70 + years in aviation at our April 13 meeting. Bob first flew in 1952 out of Holland Park. In 1970 he joined the USAF, getting his wings and after pilot training was assigned to KC-135s. He has since done extensive corporate flying, joined the Aviation College at Western Michigan, and flew A-10 Warthogs for the Battle Creek National Guard. He is excited to share his experiences with us.

Bob will be talking about his many years of FLYIN FUN. He is a Chapter 221 member in Kalamazoo and also is familiar with the various restorations of aircraft at the Air Zoo. Through his help we hope to hold our May meeting at the Air Zoo’s Restoration Center.
